Luna's Mexican Grill: Authentic Mexican Flavors & Warm Hospitality in Tehachapi, CA

Today we tried Luna’s for the first time. The service we received puts other restaurants to shame. We had dinner with friends of ours that we had not seen for a while. Luna and her staff were so gracious and accommodating and they let us stay way past closing time. On top of that, the food was amazing. We had soup and burritos. The meat was fresh and prepared the authentic Mexican style. Everyone cleaned their plates. We strongly recommend it. We will be back.

Family run Mexican Restaurant. We stopped in for dinner yesterday. The service is very good. The restaurant is clean and organized. The corn tortillas are homemade. The food is American Mexican and there is no alcohol on the premises. The food could use additional seasoning as it was a bit blan. In Tehachapi there are not many restaurants that are 5 star and these folks are striving to improve. I had chicken fajitas, my wife had chicken enchiladas and my dad had the Carne Asada. The restaurant also has take out and delivery.

The food was delicious, unique from the other local Mexican restaurants in the area and the service was friendly. The people there were so kind! We will definitely be back and adding this one to our usual rotation. We felt portions were generous and filling. We tried the chile relleno and carne asada burrito. Loved their salsa. They’re just getting started, and we look forward to supporting them and seeing the space evolve. Looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Wow, Luna's Mexican Grill was a real treat! The chicken fajitas? Seriously amazing. Huge portions, too – you could totally share them. Loved the rice, beans, and warm tortillas that came with it. And a Mexican Coke on ice? Perfect! Everything was so delicious, I had to get a to-go box. Definitely a highlight of my trip!

Frankly, the food that they give you here is really authentic Mexican food. They even have handmade tortillas de maiz(corn)! I was overly excited to find out that their Tamarindo Agua Fresca was actually Agua Fresca and not kool-aid type water! Price is ok. Good things are worth paying for!

This place is great! They have great tasting authentic Mexican food. It literally tastes homemade! I ordered the Carne en su jugo and it was delicious, the tortillas are handmade and very tasty. My boyfriend ordered a chicken torta and it was really good. The service was great, they were friendly and courteous. The tamarindo and pepino limón aguas frescas are a must. New favorite spot for Mexican food. Plus it looks like it’s a family business and they were super nice!
